The second half of March 2019 will be supportive of Russian farmers. This was reported by employees of the Hydrometeorological Center, relying on data from agrometeorologists.

In particular, based on forecasts, on the territories of the Russian Federation located in the European part of the state, mostly satisfactory conditions are expected to complete the wintering of winter grain plants. A similar situation is predicted both in the southern part of the Southern Federal District and in most areas of the North Caucasus Federal District.

As for the territories that are located in the Asian part of the Russian Federation, the local fields will complete the wintering in satisfactory conditions. The agrometeorological conditions for winter crops will be as comfortable as possible for both plants and farmers, meteorologists report.

It is noteworthy that with the end of March, agrarians associate a lot of folk signs. In particular, it is believed that March 23, the day of Vasilisa the Pointer, should be counted on for thunder and rain. Indeed, if thunder thunders on this day, then the rest of the year will be successful and fertile. On March 24, farmers cherish the hope that the day will be wet enough: if it is sunny and dry, then the rest of the year will be hot, withering and potentially dangerous for the crop.
