Apple was included in the Ukrainian rating of the most sought-after fruits, the demand for which in early August was the largest in the Western region of Ukraine. This was reported in the department of “Analytics” ORSP “Shuvar” with reference to the data of its own monitoring of the proposal on the site for trade in cars (MTA).
The harvesting season for apples in 2019 began at Ukrainian farms a month ago, during this period more than 270 tons of these fruits were already sold at the Shuvar ORSP site. Prices for apples have also changed: since the beginning of the season they have decreased by at least 25% to 9-10 UAH / kg. For the year, prices for early apples have not changed.
A week ago, the top five included blueberries, it was her who replaced the apple from the "fruit" rating. Although sales volumes of blueberries at the Shuvar ORSP in August also increased to 18 tons, the supply of early apples increased even faster.
So, according to the results of the first 5 days of August 2019, the rating of the most demanded fruits on the Lviv market of Shuvar ORSP is as follows:
- apricot - 190 tons,
- peach - 120 tons,
- plum - 110 tons,
- grapes - 60 tons,
- apples - 39.5 tons.
In total, in the first 5 days of August, 540 tons of fruits and berries were sold at the Shuvar ORSP site.
It was previously reported that during the season 2018-2019. Ukraine has maintained a positive trade balance for apples, increasing exports to a record 62 thousand tons, which is 1.5 times more than the previous season. The geography of export supplies has expanded significantly: Ukrainian producers sold apples to 18 countries of the world.
