Very soon, Brazil will significantly increase the area of agricultural land for growing corn.
According to representatives of the sphere, in 2020 corn fields will become one million hectares wider, and their area will reach eighteen million three hundred thousand hectares.
Despite this, corn yields this year are significantly lower than originally planned by Brazilian industry analysts. Next year, it is expected that the pace of corn production in the country may drop to ninety-nine million two hundred thousand tons.
For a clear comparison, it should be added that a year earlier, crop yields reached ninety-nine million three hundred thousand tons of corn.
As for the production of soybeans, in this case too, an increase in agricultural land is expected in Brazil. According to the local Ministry of Agriculture, by next year, areas with soybeans will be expanded by more than one and a half percent.
This will increase production volumes from one hundred and fifteen million tons to one hundred and twenty-two million one hundred thousand tons. Thus, the export performance of soybeans will increase, and the volume of external shipments of soybeans can reach seventy-two million tons per year.
