According to the Rosselkhoznadzor press service, in the first four months of this year they managed to seize more than five thousand batches of meat and products from it on the Russian market.

We are talking about forty-four tons of meat, the quality of which at least wants to leave the best, but as a maximum - can lead to serious pathologies in the human body or even death.

In total, more than twenty-eight thousand samples of various meat products, which are sold in small and large retail outlets of the country, were taken from the turnover.

A check on microbiological characteristics, as well as on physical, chemical, sanitary and veterinary indicators in laboratory conditions on the basis of the Rosselkhoznadzor, showed that at least a thousand samples do not meet the requirements and norms of bacteriology established in the Russian Federation. Three hundred more samples “demonstrated” other deviations from quality standards.

As a result of inspections of outlets and production enterprises, employees of the federal supervisory service issued at least one and a half thousand administrative protocols for violators - both for manufacturers and for implementers.

It is noteworthy that the total amount of penalties for the release of low-quality meat to the market for the first quarter of this year amounted to twenty three million rubles.
