Due to the lack of snow and frost in Poland, carrots are still being harvested.
Miko Farm is a relatively small company that grows various vegetables in Poland. Sales manager Francesca Lipinski said their carrot season was very positive.
Direct speech: “The carrot season began with some difficulties, since there was almost no rain during this period. Later, the season will recover, and the year is fantastic. Production was still above par, despite the lack of rain.
Due to the lack of snow and frost, the harvest of carrots was able to continue, which, in turn, led to an increase in the total yield for the season by about 40%. ”
In Portugal, jam is cooked from carrots, which is very popular.
Although Miko Farms were unable to export their products this season, they are keen to start exporting next year. Direct speech: “We would like to export our carrots and other products to other European countries.
Getting started in Germany would make sense, as they are pretty close to us and have many potential customers. Italy would also be an option, as I have some contacts in the northern regions of Italy, ”Lipinski explained. “The quality of our products is excellent, so we have no problems, and we have more than enough land to expand our sown area.”
The only thing we are missing is a regular customer for any product. We do not dare to expand production until we have security in this sense, since it would be risky to double production without having a company ready to buy products after its collection. ”
