The end of 2018 will be marked for Ukrainian potato lovers with a sharp increase in prices for this crop. In the meantime, this vegetable is the cheapest on Ukrainian shelves.
Oleksiy Doroshenko, who heads the Association of Distribution Network Suppliers in Ukraine, is sure that already at the end of November, raw materials for potato pancakes and mashed potatoes will begin to grow actively in price.

Most fruits and vegetables on Ukrainian trading floors have already risen in price. This is especially true of the so-called "borsch set" - beets, onions, cabbage and carrots. To date, these crops have already reached their maximum price, which is restrained in the country only by the level of vegetable prices in Europe.
“The so-called social bread and cereals are getting more expensive every day,” analysts say. “So it makes sense to stock up on groceries in advance, which, by the way, forms the basis of the daily menu of most residents of Ukraine.”
