Representatives of Russian horse breeding are seriously concerned about the state of the horse industry in the country and intend to make every effort to increase the population of such authentic breeds as Budennovskaya and Don.

“Once upon a time, representatives of these breeds were primarily associated with brave Russian Cossacks,” industry experts say. - They were inseparable, but over time, interest in horses in our country has noticeably subsided. As a result, the above horse breeds were nullified. Today's livestock of breeding mares is so insignificant that I don’t even want to talk about it! ”

The situation was critical, therefore, horse breeders are calling on all who are not indifferent to the fate of the Don and Budyonnovsky horses to join forces and revive the inexorably endangered breeds. Enthusiasts from the Budyonnovsk stud farm and representatives of Egorov’s Horse Farm have already responded to the call.

It should be noted that 2019 will be a key year for Russian horse breeders. Starting in January, the Russian government intends to closely engage in strengthening support for the domestic horse industry. The priority is to emphasize the support and encouragement of those horse breeders who make maximum efforts to support the native Russian breeds.

“Domestic breeds are actively disappearing as a species,” industry experts complain. “But the representatives of these breeds are literally indispensable not only in agriculture, but also in big sport, in breeding strong and hardy animals, in collecting and breeding new breeds.”

Russian farmers cherish the hope that state authorities will not leave the industry to their own devices, but will provide substantial support to horse breeding. And they will do everything to not only preserve the Russian breeds of horses, but also to increase their number, as well as provide the most comfortable living conditions.
