Over the next three decades, representatives of Turkish agriculture will triple the number of vertical type greenhouses.
According to experts, this step will reduce both environmental costs and the cost of electricity and transport in the agricultural sector.
It is known that new greenhouse complexes will be built in the largest settlements. This will allow not only massively supplying environmentally friendly and high-quality vegetables and other crops to city markets with significant space savings, but also provide an opportunity to tame the annual increase in prices for fruit and vegetable products in the so-called off-season.
An important plus will be the fact that with the construction of vertical greenhouses there will be additional jobs for both Turkish citizens and migrants from other countries.
Today, vertical greenhouse complexes are a priority among investors as a potentially profitable project. The Turkish government is pleased to provide grants and loans for the implementation of this program.
And the initiators of the construction are pleased that with the mass introduction of vertical technologies they will be able to get eight times more products despite the fact that the cost of irrigation, fertilizers and herbicides in vertical greenhouses is much lower than in ordinary greenhouses.
