Members of Tyrone County Young Farmers Clubs, known for their identities in popular culture, will test their acting skills once again at the Ken Russell Rosebowl annual one-act drama competition.
The event, held at the Center of the Year 2000, in Newtownstewart, a village and urban area of 540 acres in Tyrone County on Friday, April 26, promises to provoke an abundance of laughter from a set of funny one-act plays, interconnected by many strong threads of good jokes to complete the picture .
Small one-act plays will be presented by local clubs of the National Federation of Young Farmer Clubs (YFC). In anticipation of such an expected event, members of the four clubs participating in the project - Derg Valley YFC, Cappagh YFC, Trillick and District YFC and Seskinore YFC - were busy creating their own productions, in which amateurs of all ages will take part, as they first appear on this stage , and those who have repeatedly participated in the competition.Clubs will compete for the coveted Ken Russell Rosebowl Award, awarded last year to the Kappa Young Farmers Club with their fun one-act game at the construction site.Other sought-after awards, such as “the most memorable moment”, as well as “the best young and senior actor and actress” will be presented on the night.
The event will take place on April 26 at 19:30 at the 2000 Center, in Newtownstewart. Admission to the competition costs £ 5, for children under 12 years old - free of charge.
