Some large Russian manufacturers have prepared an assortment of their products to satisfy the preferences of Asian consumers.
Rosselkhoznadzor said that Russian pork has returned to the Vietnamese market. Officials said pork and by-products will be exported in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
The agency did not disclose which Russian companies have the right to supply their products to Vietnam. The largest Russian pork producers are Cherkizovo, Rusagro and Miratorg Private Group.
So far, Cherkizovo seems to be best prepared to respond to the Vietnamese market. In a press release made a month ago, the company mentioned that it was ready to sell “pork ears and piglets that find their way into the local cuisine in Asian markets.”
Domestic pigs first appeared in China. The first pork trade was organized there.
For example, pork ears are boiled with sugar, soy sauce and spices, anise and green onions, served in slices. Filipinos love grilled pork guts and hearts. ”
The largest Russian pork producers have increased their investment in this sector over the past 10 months, hoping to open up the Chinese pork market, as the neighboring country is facing numerous outbreaks of ASF. The disease has also been present in Russia for almost 11 years, and the latest outbreaks in October this year were reported in Siberia.
- The Republic of Belarus has limited the supply of pork from the Lviv region due to another outbreak.
- We previously reported that the export of pork, which remains in the European Union, has declined in large quantities.
- The ASF crisis affects the herd, leading to a reduction in Poland’s national population.
- Constant demand for pork from Asian countries affected by African swine fever virus (ASF), such as China and Vietnam, has raised pig prices in France.
- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency, according to a statement by the Chinese side on the falsification of documents, has stopped issuing export certificates to China for all types of pork.
