According to the head of the Moscow Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food, in 2019 the region will launch an autonomous expanded project to monitor the quality of food and food products manufactured by local agricultural workers.
Andrei Razin emphasizes that the work of the new program will be the responsibility of the veterinary services of the Moscow region. The Minister also noted that from now on the region will carefully monitor compliance with manufacturers of veterinary and sanitary standards.
All goods that do not meet state requirements will be withdrawn from circulation and banned for sale until the situation is rectified. It is important to note that checking compliance with the standard of Moscow Region products will be not only when selling these goods on the domestic market.“Verification of quality and compliance with requirements is also a mandatory procedure in the process of exporting food to foreign markets,” Razin emphasizes. At the moment, it is known that the verification process will begin with the fact that the veterinary staff will take samples of various products and conduct thorough research in the laboratory. The specialized laboratories have already received appropriate accreditation and are ready to work. According to Razin, the plans for the Moscow region in the near future include the expansion of specialized laboratories.Share
