- Root rot - spend spraying with copper sulfate. Prepare a 1% solution, 10 g / 1 l of water.
Harvesting and storage
Ripe vegetables are harvested in August - September. The process is carried out in dry weather, gently pulling the fruits out of the tops. If the root crop sits deep and the tops break off, you can get it by digging it with a pitchfork.
Winter carrots are not stored, and planted in the spring can be stored for up to 8 months. The harvest must be shaken off the ground and dried. Store it in dark, dry rooms, putting carrots in boxes in a thin layer.
