A resident of the Belotserkovsky district, in the Kiev region, a farmer Yuri Spivak devoted the last few years of his life to breeding pheasants intended specifically for hunting.
“I myself am a hunter, and once decided that I would start raising the right birds for the right hunt,” Yuri shares. - I feed pheasants and release them in the territory of my area. Then my friends and I go hunting, getting real pleasure from our hobbies and return home with an excellent mood and a generous “harvest”.
Spivak has been able to handle birds since childhood, as he grew up in a private courtyard. However, he began to breed pheasants specifically for hunting already in adulthood, wanting to bring true pleasure from hunting not only to himself. But also to other hunters of the Kiev region. “I’m tired of constantly traveling to the Kherson or Odessa regions to catch a good pheasant,” says Yuri. “With a little thought, I decided to populate well-fed birds and the territory of my region.”
Spivak stresses that he grows his birds in conditions. As close as possible to the conditions of the wild, because birds coddled in “greenhouse” conditions will be difficult to survive after they are released into the wild. Thus, Spivak is sure, he provides significant support to the professional hunting sector in Ukraine.
