Based on the data shared by Rosstat employees, by mid-June of the current year, the cost of pork and chicken in retail outlets of the Russian Federation had significantly decreased.
If we compare the current prices for meat for barbecue in domestic food sales outlets with the prices that were fixed in June 2018, then we noticeably noticeable cheaper prices: in the case of pork - by almost one and a half percent, and in the case of chicken - by more than four percent.
And today a kilogram of pork costs the Russian buyer an average of two hundred seventy-two rubles and thirty-eight kopecks. And for a kilo of chicken you have to pay a little more than one hundred and forty-three rubles.
A month ago, in May 2019, wholesale prices for chilled pork were three tenths of a percent higher than now, and pork for one month lost its price position by one tenth of a percent.
In the early days of the summer of 2019, broiler manufacturers sold their goods at a price of one hundred and two thousand rubles per ton. And pork cost buyers one hundred and fifty-one thousand rubles for the same amount.
This is despite the fact that a month earlier, at the beginning of May 2019, a ton of broilers cost wholesale buyers one hundred and one thousand rubles, and a ton of pork cost did not exceed one hundred fifty eight thousand rubles.
