In Sumy, the city’s once most successful enterprise was sold - a local meat factory. At the auction, he went under the hammer for 46 thousand UAH. The buyer was the Dnieper company Retail Invest.

This year, Sumy Meat Processing Plant celebrates its last anniversary - 110 years. During this time, the plant has accumulated debts of 36 million UAH. Only to his employees he owed more than 2 million UAH of salary.

The last two years people have been working for free at all. Now, when the plant is bought, no one will pay this money to them, said lawyer Alexander Chernadchuk.

At first, the plant was put up for auction for 36 million UAH, but each time the price fell more and more, until it slipped to 46 thousand UAH. For this ridiculous money, an integral property complex was sold, which included numerous movable and immovable property and a land plot in the city center with an area of ​​about 15 hectares.

After the sale of the plant, none of its creditors will receive their money. In particular, the city of Sumy remains out of work. The tax debt of the company is UAH 9,728,938, which will also not be repaid. Tax officials assured that they intend to file a complaint about these tenders.
