An unexpected guest from Denmark, businessman Christian Rasmussen, violated the plans of Lviv farmers specializing in the cultivation of mink.

An extraordinary situation has developed in the Brodovsky district - it is there that local residents are on strike against foreign business, which is about to unfold on their territory.

“Rasmussen plans to build three large-scale mink farms with us. And this will inevitably lead to mass slaughter of minks, the indignant breeders are sure. - At first glance, the usual production process in the world of livestock. But its consequences can be colossal: starting from environmental pollution (soil, water and air) and ending with the development of allergies in residents of nearby areas. In particular, in children and the elderly. ”

Both farmers and ordinary people threaten to put the problem on the agenda of public hearings, which are regularly held in one of the local village councils.

European investors signed a memorandum with the regional state administration of the Zhytomyr region on the creation of a farm, where for the start 5 thousand minks will be kept. This is quite enough to create not just a farm, but 30 jobs for residents of the Korostyshevsky district of the region.
