As part of the Good Food Nation government program, the Scottish National Farmers Union (NFU Scotland) shared his vision of food quality.
The Scottish National Farmers Union has called for evidence-based changes in food policies and that any changes to the rules should be developed in collaboration with producers.
“Farmers and producers across Scotland produce high-quality meat, dairy products, cereals, eggs, fruits and vegetables, and continue to contribute to feed the nation,” said Martin Kennedy, vice president of NFU Scotland.![](http://img.tomahnousfarm.org/img/ferm-2020/13804/image_IuJuai9ak6Aav9rg.jpg)
In his view, domestic food producers should be at the center of politics.
“If Scotland wants to strengthen its positive position and become a“ country of good food, ”it must be a country that appreciates the production of good food,” continued the NFU vice president.![](http://img.tomahnousfarm.org/img/ferm-2020/13804/image_lm85BNqsj9L7d8rMpt2dh.jpg)
The Good Food Nation government program aims to create a “framework law” that requires the Scottish government and some government agencies to publish regular food policy statements regarding growth, harvesting, processing, marketing, and preparing and consuming food.
