In the village of Kalinovskoye, which is located in the Aleksandrovsky district of the Stavropol Territory, active work is currently being carried out to modernize the local cattle-breeding complex.
It is known that this complex is designed for 1700 cows. It is noteworthy that this facility focuses on the breeding of individuals of cattle of a particular breed. We are talking about Jersey cows.
According to information shared with the public by Alexei Rudenko, deputy head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the annual output at this complex, according to preliminary forecasts, could be more than 10 thousand tons. On average, milk yield per cow will be about 7 thousand kilograms per year.At present, guests from Denmark are settling in stalls at the complex: 965 cows born on Scandinavian farms have been brought to the facility. The management of the complex does not intend to dwell on this and promises that by the end of the first half of 2019, another 735 cows of a Jersey breed will also arrive in the village of Kalinovskoye, which also were born in Denmark.
It will not be superfluous to note that the waste-free principle of manure removal, which complies with environmental conservation standards, operates in the complex. In addition, high-tech mechanisms are used at the facility, and the work process at the enterprise is automated to the maximum. "Electronic shepherds" manage the herd, and a new generation of cattle is kept in individual houses using the "cold" method of growing. In the near future, the complex will be equipped with a high-tech feed preparation system. The start of work of the complex in full is scheduled for the end of next year.
