Experts call krambe one of the most profitable niche crops for Ukrainian farmers.
Krambe is an unpretentious annual crop with high yield indicators (about 3t / ha). In the current climate change of Ukraine, it has great prospects for cultivation, as it is not afraid of drought.
Abyssinian krambe is professionally grown in many countries of Europe, Asia and the United States. It is used in the manufacture of plastics, lubricants, rubber, resins, plastic films and synthetic fibers. Valuable krambe oil can be used in cosmetology and food production, as well as a source of biodiesel. Lively greens krambe eats cattle with pleasure. Cake is used for baking cakes and making halva. Krambe can also be used as a siderate along with white mustard, oilseed radish and spring rape.Recall that the plant was introduced into the culture in 1932 by Professor Vasiliev V.F. in the vast Botanical Station of Voronezh. No one has studied krambe before. Experimental crops from Algerian seeds were the first in world practice. Based on them, studies were conducted in several states.
Culture is still not widespread and not very famous even among agronomists.
